1 Hour rides usually go out on the back-end of our ranch! If you have small children, you must do the 1 hour ride here on the ranch. We will work with children (or apprehensive adults) in the 'round pen' so that they can gain confidence, and feel comfortable riding. Please remember, NO children may ever ride in the saddle with an adult; NO ONE MAY EVER RIDE DOUBLE; we provide riding helmets, and all riders under 18 years must wear theirs at all times.
Under some conditions, 1 hour rides can go out in the National Park -- if we have at least 4 riders or it follows an earlier 2 hour ride. The cost is $75.00 per person.
The 1 hour rides that we take out in the Park take advantage of the trail along Rock Creek and offer beautiful views of Veteran's Lake. Thank you, Cheri
Stay tuned for details and for costs. Special all day rides are not like guided trail rides. Guest riders must have basic riding skills.
Includes time in the round pen, the big arena and on the trail
We try to stay with a 48 hour cancellation policy. Of course, we do not expect people to ride if it is storming. Please call first, as many times the weather is terrible in OKC or Dallas and is just fine here.
Otherwise, please let us know as soon as possible if there has been some major event that has made it impossible for you to get here. We reserve the right to charge last minute cancellations and 'No Shows' no less than 1/2 of the cost of the ride.
For more than 30 years, the Pat Howe and Chapman Ranches (located in the Southern Arbuckles, 12 miles South of Sulphur) have graciously allowed the Murray County 4-H horse club to put on an annual all-day trail ride. The proceeds fund field trips for 4-H Horse Club members for the year. People are invited to bring their own horses to this ride. Arbuckle Trail Rides can furnish a few horses for guest riders, as long as they have basic riding skills. Call for details and for costs in early 20
