TRAIL RIDES - We used to take our trail riders into the 10,000 acre Chickasaw
National Recreation Area (CRNA) which is located on the South City
limits of Sulphur, Oklahoma. On Sunday, October 8, 2006 we
were told we could no longer take riders out on the marked horse trails
that we helped to clear. We cleaned trash off of the trails the very day before
with the local 4-H Club.
If you would like to complain directly to the Park, 'click' on the above link to their website and then click on 'contact us'. You can send letters to their Sulphur address and can send e-mails simply by clicking of that link. An awful lot of people in the area are really upset that we can no longer show off the beautiful back country of the Park. FLASH!!! We have a contract with Turner Falls Park and are taking trail riders out at Turner Falls for the second year. We are taking trail riders out on the top of the mountain above Turner Falls. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the nearly inaccessible back country of the Arbuckle Mountains. Be sure to bring a camera!! You will ride with one of the most experienced trail guides and will ride one of our very well-trained trail horses for the most enjoyable ride of a lifetime. Call or e-mail now for a reservation. We will still be taking out 1/2 day and full day ranch rides by reservation. Please call for a reservation. Each ranch ride is 'set up' to suit the recreational goals and riding experience of each group of riders. Scenic photo opportunities are many and we frequently encounter wildlife. The country is rugged and very scenic. Riders are mounted on gentle, well-trained ranch horses that are picked to be safe and sure-footed. We have horses that are suitable for inexperienced or first-time riders and young children age 6 and up. And we have horses that are suitable for experienced riders that want to cover a lot of country. |
